Groups

Groups allow a Feasibility Teacher to use the same material with different groups of students. Most commonly, this is used when a teacher has multiple sections (or hours) of same class. By using Groups, they teacher can maintain one Moodle course, but keep the students separate for assignments and the grade book.

The easiest way to set up groups is to do so before students enroll (or are enrolled) in a course. For example, to set up a first hour and a third hour, the two groups are set up with different enrollment keys. When the student enters that appropriate enrollment key, they are assigned to the appropriate group. Thus, the course could be set up with two enrollment keys: firsthour1, thirdhour3. If a student enrolls using the key firsthour1, that student would be grouped with other students in first hour. If the student enrolls using the thirdhour3 key, they would be grouped with other students in third hour.

Students can also be manually moved from one group to another.
