This course introduces basic operations of Mathematics and geometrical patterns with daily life examples. It enables leaners to play around with different shapes and angles, fractions, factors and multiples, number places; calculate area, volume, weight, become skilled in data handling and recognizing different geometrical and number patterns.  In this course, multimedia content is included to avoid the monotony of the traditional book study method. 
The course engages students in mathematical reasoning, abstract or spatial  thinking, critical thinking and problem-solving ability. The course uses multisensory approach for teaching mathematics that helps students learn Mathematics in a more concrete manner and transforms students from passive to active learners. 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

• use simple arithmetic operations (+,-,*, /).
• differentiate the types of shapes, angles.
• calculate the area, volume, weight.
• calculate fractions, factors and multiples.
• draw 2D and 3D shapes.
• organize data.
• identify different geometrical and number patterns.

Minimum Technical Skills Required

• Ability to use a smart phone or computer
• Knowledge about uploading multimedia files

Your learning progress is assessed continuously (Formative assessment) by Quizzes, Assignments, Interactive videos and many other ways after completion of each module and immediately the feedback of the progress is provided.
